Classroom Expectations
Mission: We are a community of mathematicians. Our job is to learn and grow.
Students need to come to class prepared with their materials (Math Journal, Math text, pencil/erasers) and ready to learn with their homework completed. Students are to be focused on the task they are given and use their class time wisely. Students who choose not to work or become a distraction to other students will be removed from their learning group until they are able to become a contributing member of the group.

Just a reminder that I am available on Wednesday mornings during Connections for students needing some additional math help. I am also available during the 2nd lunch period of the day. This time is especially important for students who have been absent for several days. This is their opportunity to get caught up – it may take more than one visit!

Students can retake quizzes once they have shown that they have practiced and have improved on the parts of the quiz they did poorly on. Students can find examples in the math book, on-line or create their own similar problems to practice. Students can make up quizzes during their lunch period, Connections time or Wednesday morning before school at 8am. Depending on our time frame, students will normally have one week from the time they get their graded quizzes back to retake quizzes before the grades become finalized.
As an addition to the above requirements, students must also be up-to-date with all homework before they are allowed to retake a quiz. Once students have completed all that was assigned, they may then do their quiz practice and then come in to retake the quiz.
